Terms AND cONDITIONS
1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once the school submits a booking form or email and receives confirmation from Historic Workshops. By confirming the booking, the school agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full.
2. Workshop Delivery
Workshops are delivered as full-day immersive educational experiences. Minor adjustments to the timetable, session lengths, or content may occur to suit the school’s schedule or unforeseen circumstances. The workshop leader may also vary depending on availability. Historic Workshops endeavours to deliver the programme as advertised, but the content may vary due to educational or practical considerations.
3. Travel Delays & Late Starts
Historic Workshops will make every reasonable effort to arrive on time. Delays caused by circumstances outside our control—including traffic, road closures, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, or severe weather—will not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund. Reasonable adjustments will be made to deliver the programme within the remaining time available.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
5. Class Numbers & Programme Adjustments
Bookings are made based on the number of classes confirmed at the time of booking. Reductions in class numbers after confirmation will not reduce the booking fee. Adding additional classes may be accommodated at the discretion of Historic Workshops and will incur an additional charge.
6. Payment Terms
Invoices are payable within 30 days of the workshop date. Historic Workshops reserves the right to charge statutory interest and recovery costs on overdue invoices under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
7. Equipment & Health & Safety
Schools accept responsibility for the care of Historic Workshops’ equipment while on school premises. Costs to replace damaged equipment, plus an administration fee of £30 + VAT, may be invoiced to the school.
While workshop leaders prioritise safety, Historic Workshops cannot accept responsibility for injuries caused by accidents that could have been avoided by following school staff guidance and pre-provided risk assessments.
8. Service Completion Clause
If the workshops are delivered, the booking fee remains payable. Minor timetable changes, session adjustments, or delays outside Historic Workshops’ control do not constitute grounds for a refund.
9. Cooling-Off Period
Schools have a seven-day cooling-off period from the date of confirmation to review the booking. After this period, the Terms & Conditions are fully binding.
