Tudor Workshop
For this workshop, we can cater for up to 4 classes for the whole day (9am - 3pm)!
Sessions:
Introduction: The weapons-trained workshop leader will demonstrate a wide range of weaponry to the audience and wow them with their skill at arms! Our workshop leaders are experienced medieval reenactors with countless hours of practice in wielding medieval weapons! If you book David (King Henry VIII), this introduction will become a Royal Entrance to fanfare.
Weapons and Armour Handling and Investigation: The children will get to explore a plethora of replica armour and weapons from the time. This is a great chance for children to have photos holding some very intimidating Tudor weapons!
Weapons Drill: The children will be put through their paces, learning how to use a Tudor weapon to full effect! Can they march in formation? Can they respond to commands correctly? Will they survive battle? If you book David (Henry VIII), this session will be replaced with Tudor Dancing as David is an expert in Tudor Dancing!
Tudor Board Games: The children will find out how to play two popular Tudor games and then spend the rest of the session playing them!
Archery: English Longbowmen were the best in the world! Can your children live up to their forebears? The children use modern bows to fire suction arrows at targets, as if out on a Tudor hunting expedition!
