WW1 WEBINAR 10/11/23
The hugely popular WW1 Webinar delivered by the children's historian Leigh from Historic Workshops, is BACK! Presented LIVE via Zoom.
Leigh presents these child-friendly webinars to tens of thousands of children each and every year. Every year, more and more schools join, and most schools now attend every year.
Leigh, a historian specialising in the world wars, will present an informative talk about WW1 whilst dressed as a British soldier from WW1. Leigh will also be presenting two more LIVE webinars in the day; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. One about Remembrance, and the other walking the viewers through WW2.
As a history specialist, Leigh strongly recommends that schools studying WW2 should first have a firm grasp of WW1. Having this base of knowledge then allows the children to compare and contrast their knowledge of WW1 with WW2.
This is a LIVE event which will NOT be recorded.
Tickets are £30+ VAT. One ticket per class (up-to 35 children). Each ticket will allow one device to connect to the LIVE presentation.
All tickets are payable by invoice only. Schools can pay by card, BACS or cheque.
Tickets can be purchased via this link: https://historicworkshops.as.me/?appointmentType=37955547
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable once ordered.
Here's what some teachers had to say after a previous webinar:
This was so fantastically informative and the children in our KS2 classes were so engaged and hanging on your every word. Thanks again. Brilliantly done. – The John Moore Primary, Gloucestershire.
We loved the webinar! Everyone was glued to the screen and we had chills when you mentioned Adolf Hitler. Abbey Hill Academy, Stockton on Tees.
It was amazing! Thanks so so much for today! We can’t wait to book more in! - Abbie Blackham, Assistant Headteacher, Plover Primary School, South Yorkshire.
Such an incredible well-informed insight into WW1 - thank you. – Lincoln Carlton Academy, Lincolnshire.
I would just like to say thank you for running the session. We have been studying WW1 in y6 and the children loved hearing all the extra information linked to what they had studied so far. They particularly enjoyed the detail around the various battles. A really lively and engaging session - thank you! – Lynn Stephenson, Wellfield Middle School, North Tyneside.
